painter, cinematographer artist, author of objects and installations, exhibition curator, designer.

Galim Madanov started exhibiting from the mid 1980s. His early works were mostly paintings, where on the plane of metaphysics, he brought out and revealed the phenomena of ethno-cultural perception. Philosophical in-depth, high aestheticism, a craving to experiment with forms, integrity and completeness of content in consonance with the problems of today – that is a fitting description of the characteristics of his creative work. His liberation from the boundaries of the canvas and transition to objects and installations marked a new stage in the development of his creative work. He is captivated in these works by transnational and common human problems, paradoxes of internal and outside worlds, where the author places the accent on poetic realm of reality. Without losing contact with national tradition, he however advances it in the bosom of a new figurative vision
